ABOUT THE TEAM
Our provision is led by two highly experienced educators who share a passion for helping young people thrive through creativity, connection and personalised learning. With over 30 years of combined experience in Further Education, SEND, SEMH and alternative provision, our team brings expertise in music technology, media production, curriculum design and trauma-informed practice. Having successfully led specialist provisions and supported hundreds of young people into education, employment and the creative industries, we believe that every learner deserves an environment where they feel safe, valued and inspired to achieve their potential through music and media.
Howard Smith
Howard has over a decade of experience supporting young people with SEND, SEMH and complex needs across both education and residential settings. He has successfully established and led specialist provisions, developing innovative, trauma-informed programmes that help young people build confidence, resilience and positive futures. With a background in music, safeguarding and inclusive education, Howard is passionate about creating opportunities for every learner to succeed.
Andrew McGarrick
Andrew is an experienced Music Technology lecturer and curriculum leader with more than 17 years in Further Education. He has extensive expertise in music production, recording, composition and sound design, and has inspired countless young people to pursue careers and further study in the creative industries. Andrew is passionate about using music and media as powerful tools to engage, motivate and unlock the potential of every learner.
